Director Arun Matheswaran and producer Sathya Jyothi Films present Captain Miller, an epic action adventure movie in Tamil released in 2024. Sundeep Kishan, Aditi Balan, Shiva Rajkumar, John Kokken, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick, and Dhanush play supporting roles in the first installment of a trilogy that is slated to be released. It follows a former British Army soldier who is attempting to prevent the British Army from destroying his home village in the 1930s, during the British Raj.

Without having a particular the actor in mind, Arun started writing the script. He created the fictional character Captain Miller in order to produce a big-budget action film. It wasn't until halfway through that he realized Dhanush would be perfect for that role. The latter would also get three looks in the film. Even though there were rumors that Sundeep Kishan would play a big part that September, as of late May 2022, Priyanka Arul Mohan was in talks to be the lead actress. Their inclusions were confirmed by the production house on September 19 and 17, respectively. Villager Analeesan "Eesa" wishes to join the British Indian Army in order to achieve respect because of caste problems in his village during the British Raj in the 1930s. Sengannan, referred to as Sengolan, Eesan's older brother, is opposed to this and plans a revolution against the British. Eesa falls in love with Velmathi, a doctor who also to be a royal family member. He forgets about Velmathi, though, after seeing that she is in love with someone else. Soon after enlisting in the army, Eesa takes the name "Miller" but calls himself "Captain Miller." During one of their several missions, Eesa and his friends Rafiq and Sembatta, also known as Stephen, are made to shoot helpless and innocent rebels by their British General.
